Cruz de Alba 2013
Cruz de Alba is a modern cut wine with a more fruity profile. The meager use of wood makes this wine a more balanced and structured product.
The 2013 was, without a doubt, a difficult year. Although grapevine sprouting briefly advanced, spring temperatures, which were lower than usual, slightly slowed the growing cycle, helping to combat some diseases. A July and August of normal temperatures, followed by a relatively cold September. The second half of October was particularly good in temperatures and optimum maturation finally arrived. Thanks to a careful selection during the harvest, we have achieved again a very high level in the quality of Cruz de Alba Official Qualification Regulatory Board Origin: GOOD
After fermentation at controlled temperature, the Cruz de Alba remained 15 months in new French oak barrels for the most part, with some American oak as well. After the bottling it remains a few months in bottle rounding.
Good color intensity and very fruity aromas of red fruits and ripe cherries with touches to licorice, cedar and mentoles on a characteristic mineral souvenir background. In the mouth it is juicy and fresh with memories of raspberries, chocolate and graphite. The Cruz de Alba has a silky step in the mouth with a harmonious and enveloping finish.

16-18 ° C. Accompany tapas and light pecking of smoked meats, veal carpaccio or soft cheeses.
