The grapes are manually harvested from our vineyards of the Rioja Alta. Alcoholic fermentation takes place over 10 days at a controlled temperature. Later, after the malolactic fermentation begin its stage in barrels of French and American oak. This will last at least two years during which the wine will age taking notes features of the two types of wood. After a natural clarification the second phase of aging, ie their stay in the bottle over a year in our drafts takes place until released.
The 2013 vintage is characterized by its excellent climate, mild temperatures and abundant rainfall throughout the period. The drop in temperatures in the last phase of maturation led to a delay in harvest date compared to previous years, resulting in a perfect evolution of the parameters of the grape, which together with the low yield per hectare, give us a harvest great quality.
Intense maroon coat. Enticing aroma of berries, plum and jam in perfect balance with aromas of vanilla gourmands, toffee and coconut from the barrel aging. The palate is a wine with personality, with a polished tannins that appears to give fleshiness and structure. In the aftertaste we appear licorice and anise aromas, it gives us the freshness that encourages us to continue drinking.
It’s perfect for pairing both spicy red meat, such as casseroles and stews.
