Vineyards and terrain: The grapes come from our vineyards in the districts of Samanie- go, Laguardia, and Leza, at an average altitude of 580 m above sea level. Poor calcareous/clay and stony soils, ochre colored. The subsoil is made up of various layers of white rock.
Climate: Mediterranean climate with strong Atlantic in uence. Extreme winter-summer contrast.
Precipitation: 854,10 litres. Ave. Temp.: min 7,41°C / max 17,3°C / average 12,04°C. Average temperature of the soil: 13,9oC
The vineyards: 90% Tempranillo, 10% Graciano, Mazuelo and Garnacha. Age of vines, between 25 and 50 years old.
Plantation density: 3,000 vines/hectare. Goblet pruning. Production: 5,500 Kg/hectare. Hand harvested in 15 kg boxes, between 17th and 22nd Octo- ber.
Wine-Making: Pre-fermentation cold maceration. Alcoholic fermentation in small capacity vats for 16 days at a maximum temperature of 26°C. For this wine we use the hole grapes carbonic maceration and a part of destemming grapes carbonic maceration. Malolactic fermentation in stainless steel vats.12 months cask ageing. This wine does not undergo any stabilisation process. Before the bottling process this wine is softly ltered. Bottled on the 7th April 2017.
