Lindes of Remelluri San Vicente
“Linde” term or line that separates some estates from others. The plots that adjoin the Nuestra Señora de Remelluri Farm belong to two of the most interesting wine-growing municipalities in La Rioja, Labastida and San Vicente de la Sonsierra. Some of the best winegrowers in these two towns have been bringing grapes to our winery for many years. Since the 2009 harvest, these grapes have been separated from the grapes of the estate and are destined to a new wine, “Lindes de Remelluri”, thus a new wine is born, a reflection of these unique and different peoples. Lindes de Remelluri is made in limited quantities, it is not a second wine, it is a wine with its own personality that aims to explain in a fresh and direct way the work of these families in their vineyards in their town. The quality of these grapes is exceptional and could be the origin of many of the great Rioja wines. VARIETIES Tempranillo, Garnacha and Graciano.
Poor limestone terraces, clay-calcareous in nature, with a bedrock that outcrops in areas. These terraces are made up mostly of sandstones and marls whose origin is in the Quaternary era.
100% manual harvest in 20 kg boxes. The harvest begins at the end of September / beginning of October and ends at the end of October. Selection in field and table.
Fermentation with native yeasts and aging for 12 months in 225-liter barrels and 5000-liter French oak vats.
Lindes of Remelluri San Vicente is a juicy red with soft aromas of red fruit balanced with spicy notes. In the mouth it is fine and enveloping. An acidity present to maintain harmony. The finish is long with balsamic touches.
