Ramón Bilbao EDIC. LIMIT. Grenache
Ramón Bilbao Edición Limitada is obtained from a selection of the best grapes and from the best barrels, so close to modern inspiration.
VARIETY
Grenache 100%.
VINEYARD
Selection of Rioja Oriental vineyards, located in several municipalities (Tudelilla, Grávalos and Arnedo) and Monte Yerga. The Garnacha vines grow on a low trellis and a 2.60 x 1.20 m frame on alluvial soils with a limestone substrate. The vineyards are located at an altitude of 600 m and face east-west.
TASTING NOTES
RAMON BILBAO Edición Limitada Grenache is pure lightness, based on the presence and prominence of the primary fruit with a very subtle contribution from the barrel. The height and location of the vineyard provides freshness and its Mediterranean character. It is a very open colored wine, with a nose in which the red fruit stands out and a soft and velvety mouthfeel with wrapped and balanced tannins.
ELABORATION
Manual harvest and selection of the best bunches. Fermentation in concrete tanks at low temperatures and delicate pump-overs for a smooth extraction that improves varietal expression. Aged for 12 months in French oak barrels, second and third use, to maintain the elegant fruit of the Garnacha. In wine it is assembled and refined in concrete for another 6 months before bottling.
