Txakoli MARKO LORETXOAK
The Txakoli Marko Loretxoak is made in Kortezubi, a town near Gernika, it went on the market for the first time in 1999. At that time they had 1.5 hectares, currently having 5 hectares divided into 8 plots with very different characteristics between them. , on a hillside and all of them in Kortezubi. 14 years have passed, in which at the same time that the vineyard became older, the wine was surpassed every year, reaching the last two years at a level that will be difficult to overcome.
VINEYARD
The vineyards are located in Kortezubi, a small town in Vizcaya near the coast, famous for its UNESCO heritage prehistoric caves. Soil of the vineyard clay-limestone.
VINIFICATION
MARKO Loretxoak Txakoli undergoes fermentation in stainless steel and is subsequently aged with a veil of flower for approximately 2 months. in old sherry barrels for the elaboration of fino, which give the wine excellent complexity and salinity.
TASTING NOTES
The Txakoli Marko Loretxoa shows citrus aromas with that veil background and that salinity that transports you directly from north to south, to the sea on both sides of the peninsula in a single drink. Acidity and salinity is what best defines this txakoli. Txakoli for aging without a doubt.
THE NAME
Like Marko, it is dedicated to the Oxer family home, accompanied by Loretxoa (Flower in Basque), referring to its vinification with a flower veil.
