Thermosensitive label: The Mar de Frades Finca Valiñas label will tell you when the wine is at the right temperature for consumption: a blue boat will appear on the waves of the logo when the wine is at a temperature below 11ºC.
The good weather accompanied the harvest, helping the campaign to be managed easily and without complications. The grapes with which the Mar de Frades Finca Valiñas is made come from vines over 30 years old. The selection by hand of all the grapes is essential to control the irregular ripening of the different plots. Before the grapes reached maceration, 15% of the bunches were discarded. Maceration takes place for 20 hours cold. Once the fermentation has started, a part of the wine is put in French oak barrels for about 6 months, the rest of the wine continuing its aging in stainless tanks on its own lees, being periodically stirred.
El Mar de Frades Finca Valiñas has a bright straw gold color, with a fine aroma of fruits and flowers. Provided with structure and creamy with a wide and powerful mid palate, with salty touches. Its honeyed character and fresh acidity promise a great evolution in the coming years.
At low temperature its flavor is intensely appreciated. Between 8ºC and 10ºC is the appropriate temperature for consumption. The thermochromic label will indicate the right time to consume it.
