Txakoli AIZPURUA
The beginning of the production of TXAKOLI began around the year 1834 approximately when his great-grandfather MIGUEL AIZPURUA began to make txakoli in small quantities. The great-grandfather, apart from making txakoli, dedicated himself to making the rings for the barrels. In the past, the barrels or barrels were made of beech wood and that is how he got the nickname AIALLE because of his craft. JAZINTO AIZPURUA took over the legacy of the winery and then his son EMETERIO AIZPURUA with the help of his twin brothers Andoni and Iosu after he stopped working at sea to dedicate himself to making txakoli. Today Maria Jesus, Imanol and Miren are the ones who continue to make that delicious fresh wine, with the same “recipe” collected from their great-grandfather.
The AIZPURUA family, generation after generation, has transmitted the passion for txacolí to its clients and friends. The Winery is located in Getaria, on the Camino de Santiago along the coast, surrounded by vineyards on the green slopes of Alto de Meagas.
ELABORATION
Made under controlled fermentation, and kept cold throughout the entire time to preserve its natural carbon content and the freshness typical of the Hondarrabi Zuri variety.
TASTING NOTE
The Txakoli Aizpurua has a bright and clean golden hue. On the nose, notes of fruits such as apple or pear are identified. In the mouth it provides freshness and joy due to its fine bubbles.
