This wine is made with tempranillo vines between 30 and 50 years old. After 18 months in barrels of American and French oak, it is raised a minimum of 12 months in bottle. An elegant and complex wine that slowly peels an exquisite variety of shades.
GRAPES
Tempranillo grapes from vineyards from 30 to 50 years arranged in glass and placed between 580 and 640 meters, harvested by hand.
VINTAGE
Rated excellent, the evolution of the vineyard has maintained an excellent vegetative and sanitary state until the end of the cycle, because it has hardly been the incidence of damage due to weather conditions, such as frost and storms, and pests and diseases, which it has led a successful evolution of the most significant parameters for final quality and exceptional state of health of the grapes from this harvest.
ELABORATION
Destalked and vatting for 22 days with temperature control at 26 ° C. Posterior bleeding severity and second malolactic fermentation spontaneously within two weeks.
BARREL AGEING
Eighteen months in oak barrels, mixing 80% + 20% American French, in both cases with medium toasting and racking cleaning every 6 months.
CRIANZA IN BOTTLE
After the barrel the wine only needs a slight clarification and final decanting, which allows bottling without filtration.
VIEW
High core layer and hue pillory, with cherry trim. Bright and clean.
NOSE
Complex and remarkable intensity, offers varied shades of black fruit, sloe, cherry, chocolate liquor, Juanola, cream, cloves, pepper, snuff.
MOUTH
Powerful, with excellent balance, good structure and remarkable sápida feeling and macerated cherries and blueberries, again, black fruit, licorice, marshmallow and as we previously found in direct olfaction. Persistent, rich, warm, full-bodied and velvety, long and complex finish.
