Red wine Cune crianza
The first wine of this winery was named after its initials. At the beginning a red ‘clarete’ wine was made as a fine wine in the style of the Bordeaux “Claret” produced by the great chateaux’s of the Medoc. This wine, formerly known as ‘Tercer Año’ or ‘3rd year’, is today called ‘Crianza’.
Fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature of grapes from our vineyards of La Rioja Alta. The malolactic fermentation takes place in tank and then the wine is aged in American oak barrels for a year, during which acquires aromatic balance that characterizes him, as his finesse and overall expression.
Harvest Details
Vintage slightly ahead compared to previous years due to a hot summer with little rainfall. However, rains in mid-September not only helped solve the problems of water stress in some vineyards and recover productive expectations, but were decisive for the final quality of the crop, as they allow to balance the alcoholic maturity and phenolic maturity, yielding a crop of very good quality.
TASTING NOTES
Bright maroon with purple trim. He is a young breeding, with an intense nose where red fruits, black licorice and well integrated leaving the scent of her own barrel aging in American oak. The palate is a nice, round and balanced wine with notes greedy, bakery and a licorice aftertaste.
