Amaren Crianza
An extremely attractive wine where the finesse and elegance of the tempranillo variety and freshness, delicacy and fruitiness of the Grenache is transmitted. A harmonious fleeing from excessive complexity, corpulence and extractions to achieve the goal that the winery was marked: make wine “RICO” in capital letters.
VARIETY: 85% Tempranillo and 15% Garnacha
Vineyards with an average age of 35 years.
PREPARATION: Double selection table. Handpicked collection in baskets where the grapes will be transported by trailer to the winery to be selected in the double table (bunches and then grains). Only perfect beans will follow their process to develop the Amaren breeding. Both varieties were harvested, prepared and separately raised in order to extract from each their maximum potential and then create an aromatic group.
The tempranillo gives the wine finesse and elegance typical of the variety and faithful expression of the characteristics of the best soils of Rioja Alavesa. Grenache is the ideal place to convey to their particular parenting Amaren red fruit notes that provide freshness and finesse complement.
AGING: It has been 12 months in barrels. 50% new American oak barrels. 50% second year barrels of French oak.
TASTING: Cherry red color well covered. Intense nose where dairy nuances and hints of ripe red fruit are intertwined. In the background the wood appears with notes of cedarwood and stubble. The Amaren parenting is powerful on the palate but with elegance. Step surround balanced start to finish. Final with hints of red fruit, typical of Grenache.
