Clunia Pinot Noir
ORIGIN
The Pinot Noir variety is characterized by its good adaptation to cold climates, which makes you feel at home in our Coruña del Conde vineyards. Some vineyards located between 900 to 1,000m of altitude, which have extraordinary conditions for the correct maturation of Pinot Noir, provided that the production is limited. Vineyards with a thermal differential between day and night of more than 20ºC. These climatic characteristics make the aromas of the variety mold slowly and are much better preserved, giving it freshness and elegance. In addition, its hours of sunshine during the summer make its soft tannins mature correctly, thus giving a soft and sweet mouth.
VARIETY
100% Pinot Noir
PREPARATION AND AGING
The harvest is done manually, with the triple selection, to ensure that what comes to ripen is 100% quality grapes. A pre-fermentation maceration is carried out at a very low temperature for the finest aromatic extraction, and it is fermented with native yeasts selected in the vineyard itself, thus increasing the typicality of the terroir. It is fermented in tanks at 22ºC and malolactic fermentation takes place in barrels.
TASTING NOTES
Bright color, ruby red with violet reflections. On the nose it offers intense and fresh notes of wild strawberries, raspberries and cherries. Its small passage through the barrel gives complexity, with subtle touches of spice and toffee, but always leaving the variety as the protagonist. On the palate it is fresh, smooth and elegant. In the aftertaste, red fruit reappears, colossus and a remarkable finish.
