El Quinto Paraje

The Fifth Place is a Verdejo from organic vineyards located in the Rueda Denomination of Origin. The largest of them located in Medina del Campo. At 72 m altitude and on a unique ground marbled with minerals. The exceptional touch is given by a pre-phylloxera vineyard located in Nieva at 910 m above gravel soils.
Fermented in French oak vats and bocoyes of 600 liters. Subsequently, the mandatory battonages are carried out until January; when we take advantage of the famous frosts of the plateau to provoke a natural stability.
This wine expresses the authenticity of the Verdejo variety. You will find the aroma of our floors, the elegance of its aging process and the originality of a unique vineyard rooted in a place as hard as beautiful.

The friendship of Eulogio and Javier for years and the fact of sharing our concerns, have led us to embark on a new project based on the search for unique vineyards and the production of unique wines obtained with minimal intervention.

TASTING NOTES
View: Intense gold.
Nose: Powerful in which we can find fine toasted, spices, ginger and white pepper, some notes of stone fruits, creamy lees with their lactic derivatives and an elegant mineral background of peat and dry stone …
Palate: Dry, strong, very noticeable white fruit rounded by the sweetness of the wood’s lignin, delicate notes of dried fruit and, above all, a mineral and saline presence that lengthens its memory in the mouth in an extraordinary way …

PAIRING
The Fifth Place goes very well with blue fish, salmon and white meats.
