Erre Punto 2016
The cluster tips selected for the reserves are used for the elaboration of this young wine. To elaborate the wine Erre Punto the traditional methods of carbonic maceration of the Rioja Alavesa are mixed with the most innovative systems. The grapes with the Erre Punto are produced come from vines of an average age of 60 years.
The harvest is done manually in boxes of 12 kg. Before fermentation, the grapes remain for 24 hours at a controlled temperature of 4-6 ° in the cold room. In table is made the minute manual selection of the grape for the separation of the shoulders and tips of the clusters. For the Erre Punto wine, only the cluster tips are used and the shoulders are separated. The malolactic fermentation is carried out in new barrels.
90% Tempranillo, 5% Garnacha, 5% Viura and Malvasia.
Intense cherry color in high layer, with purple tones in the top. Bright and clean with tear stained and slow falling. Fine nose with floral notes of violas and lilacs, passing to a wide range of fruit aromas like raspberry and strawberries. In the mouth Erre Punto has a fleshy entrance, offers multiple flavors to blackberry, licorice and currant. Tannins balanced and friendly. The aftertaste returns to offer us the character frutal with fresh and fresh resort.
