Vina Tondonia Reserva
They have in operation 157 170 hectares of property. The harvest in our vineyards was 890.000 kg of grapes. The absence of spring frosts and good environmental conditions favoring fertilization and fruit set of grapes and offset the damaging effects of pests such as rust mites and thrips attacked buds at the time of sprouting and budding, slowed by low temperatures at that stage of the growing season made this would translate into an abundant harvest.
Despite suffering an unstable and stormy summer, this high amount of harvest reached high levels of quality thanks to ideal climatic conditions of October fresh and light which allowed us to carry out the work of comfortable vintage and staggered, brooding each one of the varieties in his ripeness point, mature and balanced without compromising at any time the perfect health of the grapes. The work began in vineyard vintage Tondonia on 11 October.
TASTING NOTES
Color: Ruby bright with light amber. Nose: very fine, fresh, light toast aromas of vanilla nose. Very persistent. Taste: Very dry, soft, round and developed.
Grape varieties: Tempranillo (75%), Garnacha (15%), Graciano and Mazuelo (10%), from our own vineyards.
Aging in barrels: 6 years, being racked twice per year 2. Fined with fresh egg whites.
Aging in bottle: Rest, unfiltered, bottled in 75 and 37.5 cl.
Alcohol content: 12.5% Vol.
Total acidity: 6 g / l.
Residual Sugar: Very dry.
Gastronomy: All meats, beef or poultry.
Shelf life: 10 years and over, in conditions of constant temperature (14ºC) and humidity (75-80%).
Serving temperature: 18º-20º C, although it varies according to people and situations.
Quantity produced: 260,000 bottles.
PAIRINGS
The Vineyard Tondonia Reserve is a fine wine, elegant: With spicy notes and vanilla from aging in barrels, without realizing the whole bottle is just very easy to take, accompanies both warm salads with quail or fowl, puff pastries, foie reduction raspberry jam, like roast lamb, or suckling pig. In general, practically all, it is a very versatile wine.
